Over the last 60 years the company has developed in response to the rapidly changing environmental requirements and technical advances in its industry whilst maintaining a commitment to direct employment and developing the careers of its valued staff.

The company operates in a number of key strategic construction and FM market sectors including public sector, universities, commercial office space and high-end residential. Specialists in the design and delivery of exceptional electrical installations, capabilities include mains power and backup systems, bespoke and low energy lighting, electrical renewable energy technology, smart metering and energy monitoring, structured cabling and fire and security systems. Additional services include test, inspection, commissioning and facilities maintenance to help customers safely manage the critical systems that keep their premises operating and protected.

Darke & Taylor is an ISO14001 and Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accredited company that designs, installs, commissions and maintains electrical renewable and energy efficient systems. Over the last 5 years, through our Energy Solutions brand, the company has installed over 4.4MW of solar PV and £2.5M of LED lighting, much of this in and around Oxford. The company is the electrical specialist on a wide range of low carbon projects within Oxford and has worked on projects for a number of Low Carbon Oxford pathfinders including Oxford University, Oxford City Council and the Low Carbon Hub.

Darke & Taylor takes sustainability seriously and has developed its business to deliver the latest electrical renewable and energy efficient technologies. As a company that started life in Oxford and that has worked extensively in the city over the last 60 years, we are keen to demonstrate our commitment to working with key organisations in the city to reduce carbon emissions.
